The Northern Division constituency urgently requires a well-researched, energetic, digitally adept, innovative, and forward-thinking leader who can deliver people-centered leadership.
The social issues in our communities have been identified through extensive research and consultation with experts from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), religious leaders, opinion leaders, women, youth, and other stakeholders. Their insights have contributed to a comprehensive six-point manifesto designed to serve as a guiding document for the people of Northern Division upon my election to the Twelfth Parliament in the 2026 polls.
For Northern Division to achieve the National Vision 2040 – Transforming Ugandan Society from a Peasant-based economy to a Modern and Prosperous Country over the next 16 years, there must be a significant shift and change in leadership. This change requires leaders who not only understand the needs and priorities of the local population but also demonstrate a commitment to serving the people’s interests with humanity and integrity. The current disconnects between our leaders and citizens, whether due to a lack of accountability or genuine concern, has hampered development and resulted in poor service delivery. As a result, Northern Division has regrettably become one of the city’s most underserved area and one of the worst service delivery points.
It is also worth noting that candidates in the Northern Division, both current and past, have often failed to present comprehensive manifestos, leaving citizens without a clear vision or plan for development. My candidacy addresses this gap by presenting an official manifesto for the period 2026-2031, which outlines strategic interventions across key areas, including education, agriculture, water and sanitation, health, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, it emphasizes the socio-economic empowerment of the people in our city, aligning with the National Program Priority Areas (NPPAs) to ensure holistic and inclusive development.
